Your choice of underwear can be quite personal, maybe you have one favourite you stick to or maybe you own them all and choose depending on your mood. This is a little guide for underwear shopping. Remember every body is different and will find different things comfortable!
Things to keep in mind:
Type of fabric:

Gussets:
The gusset is the width of the part of the underwear thats between your legs. A wider gusset may be more comfortable, there is no right or wrong only what is right for you!
Thongs / G-strings
Thongs have little coverage at the back, and g strings, like the name, is pretty much just a string that goes between your bum cheeks. Due to the little fabric at the back, these tend to have smaller gussets.
Cheeky
With more coverage than a thong, cheeky underwear can provide the more revealing look without the 'thong wedgie'.
Hipster
Increasing in coverage even more, hipster underwear covers most of the bum.
High-waisted
These come in different versions for the bottom (hipster, cheeky etc) while adding extra coverage and support for the lower stomach
Boxers/ Trunks
These 'shorts' style of underwear can be both comfy and provide more coverage. Boxers tend to be looser, while trunks are tighter.
Seamless
Seamless underwear is best for when wearing tight clothes like leggings if you don't want a visible underwear line on the bum!
"Period" underwear
The term "period underwear" is used for underwear you find most comfortable to use if you get a period, this is often ones of soft material like cotton, larger gussets, and ones you don't mind stain or two on.
Commando!
No underwear! sometimes you might choose none! (on purpose or not)
There is not right or wrong answer to picking out underwear but we hope this helps, remember what is most important is your comfort and confidence so choose what is best for YOU!
